LIFE SKILLS

Studies have shown when life skills have been taught to our children, graduation rates increase, the incidence of bullying and substance abuse decrease and the employability of our kids improves dramatically. Life skills not only help to provide a life purpose, but also help to discover qualities about themselves that they never knew existed.

ROH Independent living, provides our youth with the tools necessary to ensure personal and professional success throughout their residency and thereafter. The life skills will include interpersonal skills, social skills, financial literacy, health and wellness, career readiness, home economics, problem solving, coping mechanisms, effective communication and organizational skills.

Our young adults take Financial Stability classes, with United Way,
as part of their
life skills education
